What We Actually Do
We fix and replace garage doors - springs, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels - on houses across this part of Onslow County. Most of the homes we go into were built between 1980 and 2013, with a lot of that stock dating to the early 1990s, so a good share of our calls are openers and torsion springs that are simply at the end of their service life rather than damaged by anything dramatic. We work on single doors and double doors, steel and aluminum, chain-drive and belt-drive openers. We don't do fence gates, fence gate openers, or garden sheds - if that's what you're calling about, we'll tell you straight so you're not waiting on a truck that isn't coming for that job. Jacksonville sits in a cold-moderate climate band, which matters more than people think: temperature swings through the year work on weatherstripping, lift cables, and opener gearing differently than they do in a milder spot, and that shows up as noise, drift, or a door that won't seal at the bottom. If your door is doing something odd - slow to close, reversing for no reason, one side dropping before the other - that's the kind of call we want.
How to Reach Us
Call (910) 445-2641. That's the fastest way to get someone who can ask you what the door is doing and get a read on whether it's a spring, an opener board, or something in the track before a truck ever leaves. You can also come by 2930 Henderson Dr, Jacksonville, NC 28546 during business hours if you'd rather talk in person or need parts. We'd rather get a few details up front - door size, single or double, how old the opener is, what noise or behavior you're seeing - than guess once we're standing in your driveway. If you're not sure what's wrong, that's fine too; describe it as best you can and we'll narrow it down on the call.

We diagnose on site
A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.
You approve the plan
You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.
What Comes Next
After you call, we'll ask a few questions about the door and your address to figure out roughly how far out you are
Whether you're in town, out toward Piney Green, or further out near Richlands or Swansboro - since that affects scheduling. We'll give you a time window and what to expect cost-wise once we know more about the part involved.
When the truck arrives, the first step is always diagnosis
We look at the spring, cables, tracks, and opener before we recommend anything, and we'll tell you if a repair isn't worth it compared to replacing an aging door outright. We don't pad the visit with upsells. If the fix is a ten-minute roller swap, that's what you'll be billed for.

Frequently asked
Straight answers about garage door repair in Jacksonville. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
How old does a garage door have to be before parts get hard to find?
Doors and openers from the early 1980s are the ones where we sometimes have to special-order a part, since those brands and models have mostly been phased out. Doors from the 90s through the 2000s, which covers most of this housing stock, are easier - parts for those are still widely stocked.
Do you work outside Jacksonville itself?
Yes, we cover the surrounding area, including Pumpkin Center, Piney Green, Half Moon, Sneads Ferry, Richlands, Swansboro, and the other nearby towns within roughly a 20 mile ring of Jacksonville.
Is it worth repairing an old door or should I replace it?
Depends on the door. If the track and frame are solid and it's just a spring or cable, repair makes sense. If the door is original to a house built in the early 80s and multiple parts are failing at once, replacement often costs less over time than chasing repairs.
Why does my double door need a bigger spring than my neighbor's single door?
Spring size is matched to door weight and width, not a one-size-fits-all part. A double door is wider and heavier, so it needs a spring wound for that load. Using an undersized spring on a double door is one of the most common mistakes we see from mismatched prior repairs.
